Tracscare celebrates winning the ‘Great Autism Practice Award’, and the ‘Positive Behaviour Support Award’ at the prestigious national award ceremony

Tracscare – a leading national provider of specialist support for people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health Needs and Acquired Brain Injuries (ABI) – is celebrating after three of its staff members picked up awards at the prestigious National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards, on Friday 14th July.

The awards, now in their fourth year, celebrate excellence in support for people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, and acknowledges those individuals and organisations who excel in providing outstanding support. Over 650 people attended the event, which was hosted by actress, Sally Phillips.

Dr Tiago Pinto, Clinical Psychologist and the Head of Therapies at Tracscare’s Milton Park Therapeutic Campus was awarded The Great Autism Practice Award for his work in developing best practice to support people with Autism. The NDLA Judges were full of praise for Tiago’s work, commenting:

“Tiago wowed the judges with his passion and excellent best practise example, of working with an individual with complex needs and self-injury. Tiago connected on a personal level and the outcome was ground breaking”.

Also celebrating a win on the night were Ben Adkins and Adam Vincent, members of Tracscare’s Clinical Team, who were jointly awarded the Positive Behaviour Support Award, for their efforts to enhance quality of life for individuals and their support teams. The NDLA Judges noted that:

“Ben and Adam are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about their role. Ben demonstrated excellent people skills, acknowledges the need for change and has the ability to implement this through his commitment and dedication”.
